Local Citation Builder

Google Map Listing

Your local listings are essential to optimizing your website for search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo. On average, your city has over 70 different directories you should be on and the more listings you have, the higher you rank. Once a citation has been indexed, it acts like a link and can help to boost your local search rankings.

But there are rules:

  • All listings need to be consistent, especially your NAP (name, address and phone number). Even slight variations, like an abbreviated address or different phone number can signal to search engines that your business might be legit.

  • Local search engine experts agree you should have ar least 20-50 local listings to improve your rank.

  • Submit your information to Local Data Aggregators (LDA) like FourSquare, Yelp and Localeze to verify your company.

  • Take advantage of directories relevant to your industry or location. Industry associations, local business groups and local news sites are a good place to start. Other sites include Angieslist, Houze and Bark.

  • Duplicate listings can hurt your results.

  • Use a high-quality email provider and list the same email address on all sites. A professional email address is a small investment that will help you build trust with potential clients and maintain your credibility (Good: Patrick@thecre8iveconsultant Bad: thecre8iveconsultant@gmail.com). Personally, I recommend Google G-Suite, as they offer many additional products and services you and your team will use frequently.

You can spend the time doing this, while managing your business and day-to-day duties, or you can hire me to do it in a week. I’ll create mobile-responsive business listing that are optimized for local search. Once I’m finished, they’re all yours!

Stop renting what’s already yours and let me do the work for you.
